SASS Diwali Ball 2026

Welcome to the BIGGEST, student-led Diwali Ball at Sussex by the South Asian Students’ Society (SASS). The event will celebrate the Festival of Light by bringing together South Asian communities as we celebrate our heritage and enjoy some fun Diwali traditions. SASS is a student-led society that creates opportunities for students to connect with South Asian culture, meet new people and take part in social and cultural events at Sussex. Our Diwali celebration is the perfect opportunity to enjoy culture, meet new people and have a fun, fancy night! SASS has invited societies across Sussex and Brighton to participate in the event with performances ranging in dance, singing and instruments! This will be followed by an incredible, vegetarian 4-course meal – what’s a South Asian event without great food? We’ll also have multiple stalls including our unlimited photobooth, henna stalls and Cards tables, concluding with an incredible Masti Nights Afterparty (18+). So, grab your Kurtas, Lehengas or Sarees, bring your friends & get ready for an incredible night of celebration and FUN!
