Jake Lambert headlines our unmissable night of live comedy. Our hugely popular night of live comedy is back, featuring some of the country’s biggest stars of the future. Headlining is “joke machine” (The Telegraph) Jake Lambert – a rapidly rising stand-up known for his non-stop gag-filled storytelling. His online videos have racked up over 500 million views, building Jake a devoted fanbase. Following three sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jake embarked on his very first international tour with his show _The Sunshine Kid_, playing to sold-out audiences across the UK and globally. As seen on BBC’s _Live at the Apollo_, Channel 4’s _David Baddiel: Cat Man_, Comedy Central’s _Live from the Comedy Store_ and _Comedy Central Live_, UKTV’s Rosie Jones’s _Disability Comedy Extravaganza_, and was a recurring guest on BBC’s _The Apprentice: You’re Fired_. Our host for the evening is the hilarious Michael Akadiri. As well as performing comedy, Michael works as a resident doctor in the NHS and is currently on a sabbatical from his surgical training. His medical background means he’s also in demand as a health commentator, appearing both on TV (BBC Two’s _Newsnight_), radio (LBC & Times Radio) and print (The Guardian’s opinion column). Michael’s 2022 Edinburgh Fringe debut was a huge success, his show _No Scrubs_ sold out it’s run and culminated in a nomination for the Biggest Award in Comedy. He can also be seen performing at festivals and featuring on _Comedy Central LIVE_ (Comedy Central), _The Stand Up Sketch Show_ (ITV2), Channel 4’s _Stand Up to Cancer_, Capital Xtra’s _Breakfast Show_, BBC Radio 4’s _Loose Ends_, BBC Radio 4 Extra’s _Comedy Club_ and stand-up on Radio 4’s _Fred at the Stand_. Please note that line-ups are subject to change. Comedy at the Marlowe Theatre is sponsored by Harwood Building Control. May contain adult themes and language.
