History Sessions: The History of Whitstable

This short course is aimed at all history lovers who would like to know more about the incredible town of Whitstable. Each week will take a theme to explore in depth, with topics including ‘Whitstable at War’, ‘Smuggling’, ‘Oysters’ and ‘The Flood of 1953’. The course is delivered by Graham Birrell, who spent 25 years as a local teacher and lecturer, and brings huge experience in creating an enjoyable environment for learning. The course will be an interactive experience where everyone will be expected to become mini-historians for six weeks.
