History of Bexhill Pubs (Volume 3) – Book Launch

This popular book series reaches completion with the launch of the final part of the trilogy. Volume Three covers the town centre and seafront, featuring venues from the shades bar of the prestigious Metropole Hotel to the relatively recent but traditionally styled Sportsman and Harp pubs. Also featured are the superbly converted Picture Playhouse (JD Wetherspoon) and the nationally honoured Brickmaker’s Alehouse and Albatross Club (Royal Air Force Association). The last chapter describes bar facilities over the decades at De la Warr Pavilion. The event will include short speeches by local personalities, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet the authors and get their signed copy of the latest publication.
