Audiences can experience the acclaimed, Olivier‑award‑winning production filmed live from London’s West End, featuring John Lithgow. Set in the summer of 1983 as The Witches prepares for release, the story follows Roald Dahl confronting backlash over a recently published antisemitic article; a tense afternoon at his family home forces him to decide between issuing a public apology or protecting his reputation. Drawing on real events, the play uses dark humor to examine the line between thoughtful opinion and harmful rhetoric, painting a complex portrait of a charismatic yet controversial figure.
