For three nights this October, experience Herstmonceux Castle after dark. Join our guide Andy for a special evening tour exploring ghost stories, reported sightings, and some of the more unsettling tales connected with the castle. With much of the building in darkness and jump scares along the route, this is a very different experience from our daytime castle tours. Tours last at least one hour, with just 30 places available on each tour. Ghost Tours take place largely in darkness or low light and include deliberate jump scares. Due to the nature of the experience, all guests must be aged 12 or over. The tour may not be suitable for anyone of a nervous disposition or anyone with a health condition that could be affected by sudden scares, fright, darkness, or low-light environments. Herstmonceux Castle is a historic building and the Ghost Tour includes a significant number of stairs. Much of the tour also takes place in darkness or low light. Some parts of the route may therefore be difficult for visitors with limited mobility or visual impairments to access.
