MilkTea and Dark Matter collaborate exclusively with Picturehouse cinemas in London and York, with a programme featuring special screenings of Romeo Must Die and Fist of Fury. The programme celebrates Black x Asian unity and cultural crossover. Romeo Must Die will be screened in October, during Black History Month, and will be a special event convening Black and East & Southeast Asian (ESEA) audiences. The film brings together Jet Li and Aaliyah and explores what it says about ESEA and Black communities then and now. A Q&A featuring Nicole Ocran, Juice Aleem, and Kyami will follow the London screening. In November, Fist of Fury will be celebrated on its 80th birthday, with a Q&A panel discussing the industry and the significance of the movie on the action genre. MilkTea shows the best of East & Southeast Asian cinema in the UK, building inclusion, communities, and audiences. Dark Matter is an inclusive marketing agency connecting Black audiences with culture and the arts.
