Drop-in Family Workshop

Spooky Story Sounds: Make, Create & Perform! Join composer and musician Joe Donaldson for a fun, hands-on Halloween workshop where children will make their own spooky musical instruments before bringing Room on the Broom to life through music. Using recycled and everyday materials, children will create unique instruments and discover how composers use sound to tell stories. Together, we'll explore magical melodies, eerie sound effects and spooky rhythms before performing a live musical soundtrack to accompany a reading of the classic children's book, 'Room on the Broom'. This interactive workshop encourages creativity, imagination and musical exploration, giving children the chance to become part of the story as they create the sounds that help bring it to life.
