Dragon Hunters Wanted! A Magical Quest at the Royal Pavilion

A fun family quest at the Royal Pavilion! The Dragon Hunt is an immersive, guided family experience designed to engage children and their accompanying adults through storytelling, exploration, and imaginative play within the Royal Pavilion. Led by Professor P. Tinkleberry, a characterful “Senior Dragologist,” the experience transforms visitors into an official Dragon Hunt Team. Participants journey through key rooms of the Pavilion, following a structured route with designated storytelling “stops.” At each location, children are introduced to dragon-themed narratives, historical context, and visual clues hidden within the building’s architecture and decoration. The experience blends storytelling and performance to bring the space to life, interactive observation tasks encouraging children to spot dragons and details, light physical and imaginative activities, and educational content linking dragons to global cultures and the Pavilion’s design influences. The narrative builds progressively, culminating in a gentle, theatrical reveal of a “dragon,” in the Lecture Room, reinforcing themes of curiosity, kindness, and imagination. Recommended for children under 7.
