DARGZ operates in the fertile middle ground between gritty East Coast tradition and the elastic fluidity of modern alt-jazz. Cut from the same cloth as foundational hip-hop architects, his sound bridges classic ‘90s boom-bap crunch with the vibrant, improvisational warmth of London’s contemporary jazz movement. Crisp, MPC-style breaks underpin lush horns, soulful keys and effortless flows - creating a signature aesthetic that feels both nostalgically familiar and forward-leaning. This direction takes centre stage on his latest single ‘SIREN’ - a high-energy Brooklyn collaboration featuring rapper Nory - which serves as the first entry from his forthcoming full-length, NEW NEW YORK YORK. Nory will feature live and in person with DARGZ for this show.
