Long out of print, Angles Without Edges is the debut album from Madlib’s jazz alter ego, Yesterdays New Quintet. Yesterdays New Quintet was conceived as a group of individual members, which Madlib would eventually expand into Yesterdays Universe. The only twist? Each member of the quintet was Madlib himself. Using jazz experimentation, education, and the unequivocal brilliance of his hip-hop creativity as a primary instrument, Madlib leads this record of paramount importance in the modern jazz and hip-hop worlds alike.
