At Hidden Beach Festival, the safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of our attendees, performers, staff, and volunteers is our top priority. We operate in full compliance with the Purple Guide to Safety at Music and Other Events and all applicable UK health and safety legislation.

Public Liability Insurance

Hidden Beach Festival is covered by £10 million public liability insurance, ensuring protection for all attendees, staff, performers, and contractors.

Medical & First Aid Provision

Qualified medical staff are on-site throughout the festival, including paramedics and first aid responders.
Fully equipped first aid stations are clearly signposted and accessible from all areas.
All festival staff and volunteers are trained to identify and respond to medical emergencies.
Emergency procedures include rapid access for ambulances and liaison with local hospitals if required.

Site Safety

The Oval and other festival locations have been risk-assessed in line with the Purple Guide recommendations.
Construction and take-down phases are strictly managed:
- No public access is permitted during setup and breakdown.
- All temporary structures are inspected for safety compliance before the festival opens.
All equipment, stages, and rigging are professionally installed and regularly checked.

Fire Safety

Fire exits and escape routes are clearly marked across the festival site.
Fire extinguishers and firefighting equipment are strategically located and staff are trained in their use.
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas, away from flammable materials.

Crowd Management

All entry and exit points are staffed and monitored to avoid overcrowding.
Signage and stewards guide attendees safely around the site.
Emergency evacuation procedures are in place and rehearsed with all staff prior to the festival.

Security

Security staff are trained in public safety, conflict management, and emergency response.
Bag searches may be conducted at entry to ensure prohibited items (weapons, fireworks, illegal substances) are not brought on-site.
CCTV and communications systems are in place to support safety and security measures.

Accessibility & Special Needs

Hidden Beach Festival is committed to inclusivity and accessibility.
Drop-off points, wheelchair-accessible paths, and accessible toilets are provided.
Staff are trained to assist attendees with disabilities or medical needs, and quiet zones are available for those requiring respite.

Food, Drink & Hygiene

All food vendors are licensed and comply with hygiene regulations.
Drinking water stations are available across the site.
Waste management, recycling, and hygiene facilities are clearly marked and maintained throughout the festival.

Weather & Environmental Safety

The festival is prepared for all weather conditions, including temporary shelter areas in case of heavy rain or extreme heat.
Ground surfaces are regularly checked to avoid trip hazards or unsafe areas.
Attendees are advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor conditions.
