Hidden Beach Festival – Families & Children

Hidden Beach is a festival for everyone — including families and children! At Hidden Beach, we provide a safe, fun, and memorable experience for all age groups, with a dedicated Kids’ Zone and activities designed for children and families. To make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, here’s all the information you need if you’re bringing under 18s.

1. Age Guidelines

• Under 18s are welcome to attend certain events and activities, but cannot attend the main festival unless accompanied by an adult.

• Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

• Some workshops, fringe events, or activities may have specific age restrictions — these are clearly listed on each event page.

2. Wristbands & Identification

• Children under 16 will receive white wristbands to make it easy for staff and security to identify them.

• All festival-goers must wear their wristbands at all times — they are required for entry to events.

• Lost or damaged wristbands may not be replaced.

3. Film Screenings

• Films at Hidden Beach are rated according to standard age classifications.

• Please check the age rating before bringing children to a screening.

• Children under the recommended age will not be allowed entry to certain films.

4. Workshops & Activities

• Most workshops are suitable for all ages, but some have age restrictions due to content or materials.

• Event pages will list any minimum age requirements.

• Families are encouraged to check each workshop before attending to ensure it’s suitable for their children.

5. Waves Unplugged & Family-Friendly Events

• Waves Unplugged and other family-friendly events are suitable for all ages.

• These events are designed to be inclusive, safe, and fun for children.

6. Safety & Guidance

• Children must stay with their adult supervisors at all times.

• Parents and guardians are responsible for their children’s safety during all events.

• Festival staff and volunteers are available to help if you have any questions or need assistance.

7. Other Important Notes

• Bring a valid ID for adult attendees supervising children.

• Food, drink, and general festival amenities are available, but parents should supervise children.

• Please respect all festival rules, code of conduct, and staff instructions to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
