Course Overview

Step behind the decks and master the art of DJing with Hidden Beach Festival’s DJ School, held in one of our partner nightclubs. This in-person program is designed for aspiring DJs, music enthusiasts, and festival performers who want hands-on experience with both vinyl and digital DJ setups.

Over 6–8 weeks, participants will explore:

DJ equipment and software for digital DJing
Vinyl techniques and traditional turntablism
Beatmatching, transitions, and mixing techniques
Building a DJ set and performing live
Music selection, genre knowledge, and reading the crowd
Event etiquette and performing in a club/festival environment

Participants gain practical skills applicable to live performances, festivals, or personal DJ projects.

Course Format

In-Person Lessons: Hands-on workshops at our partner nightclub
Weekly Sessions: 2–3 hours per session
Small Group Instruction: Personalized coaching and feedback
Live Performance Opportunities: Practice performing for real audiences
Collaborative Learning: Work with fellow DJs on sets and mixing exercises

By the end of the course, participants will have hands-on experience with both vinyl and digital setups, the ability to beatmatch and mix confidently, and the skills to perform live in a professional environment.
