🥧 Caribbean Bake Off
More details released January 2026
The Stade Hall, Hastings
2:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The Caribbean Bake Off is where island flavour meets seaside creativity — a joyful afternoon of baking, tasting, and community spirit, hosted at The Stade Hall and powered by the Pass the Peas Kitchen at kitchen.hiddenbea.ch.
Home bakers, food lovers, and sweet-toothed guests are invited to celebrate the Caribbean art of baking — from coconut tarts to rum cakes, plantain pies to patties — in a friendly, music-filled competition that smells as good as it tastes.
🎶 The Vibe
The Stade Hall transforms into a carnival of ovens, laughter, and sweet aromas. With reggae and soca filling the air, you’ll meet local bakers sharing their family recipes, stories, and techniques passed down through generations.
Between tastings, enjoy live Caribbean music, fun games, and guest judges with a serious love for flavour. Expect plenty of laughter, a little rivalry, and a lot of cake.
🧁 The Bake Off
Competitors will showcase their best homemade creations across three categories:
-
Classic Caribbean Bakes — think Jamaican rum cake, sweet potato pudding, coconut drops, and cassava pone.
-
Savoury Favourites — patties, saltfish bakes, and spicy bread rolls.
-
Creative Fusion — reimagined Caribbean flavours in modern desserts.
Our guest judge, Chef Marlon Joseph (London-based Caribbean chef), will lead the tasting panel — but the crowd will have a vote too!
Winners will receive prizes, bragging rights, and of course, the title of Hidden Beach Caribbean Baker of the Year.
