A shared listening space for words, stories and voice
Listening Room is a gentle, hosted evening of poetry and spoken word, held inside a relaxed bar setting as part of the Hidden Beach Summer of Culture programme.
The bar remains open throughout the evening, but the focus of the space shifts toward listening, presence and shared attention. A small number of invited readers will share short pieces, and others are welcome to read or speak if they wish. Silence, listening and stillness are actively welcomed alongside words.
Rather than a performance or open-mic night, this is a shared listening experience — a chance to pause, listen and be with language together in a social, informal environment.
