The Kids Zone is a colourful world of creativity, culture, play, and imagination at the heart of the Hidden Beach Festival. It is designed so younger festival-goers can explore music, movement, arts, and discovery in a safe and vibrant space while adults enjoy the wider event. Everything is hands-on, joyful, and inspired by the global Hidden Beach ethos.

Arts and Craft Studio
A relaxed, creative space where children can design and decorate items to take home, including festival badges, rainbow flags, mini posters, and cultural crafts. We also host guided painting therapy sessions for calm, expressive creativity.

Street Art Corner
Inspired by Hastings’ creative energy, this area lets children experiment with safe street-art techniques, stencil art, chalk murals, and collaborative wall pieces.

Mini Drumming Workshops
A child-friendly version of our African drumming experience. Children explore rhythm, learn call-and-response patterns, and take part in a fun group performance. All djembes are provided.

Dance and Movement Sessions
Short, high-energy workshops inspired by our global programme, including Afro-fusion moves, rhythm-based dance games, and international dance tasters designed for young people.

Story Den
A cosy tent hosting storytelling afternoons, guest readers, cultural tales from around the world, and calm sessions for children who need a quieter moment during the festival.

Hidden Beach Kids Challenges
Interactive activities including codebreaking games, mini treasure hunts around the Kids Zone, creativity prompts, and simple problem-solving missions.

Free-Flow Painting Therapy
Gentle themed painting sessions where children can explore colour, mood, and self-expression. A soothing space focused on emotional wellbeing.

International Culture Play Area
Inspired by our international partnerships, featuring flag-making, rhythm games, simple language swap activities, and world-themed crafts.

Music and Chill Tent
A shaded relaxation area with cushions, soft world music, books, and sensory items for younger children who need a break from the excitement.

The Kids Zone is fully supervised by friendly, DBS-checked staff and built around creativity, culture, movement, calm spaces, discovery, and fun. It is a space where children can explore safely while parents enjoy the wider festival, reflecting the heart of Hidden Beach: music, food, community, and connection.
