Getting Here

Travel and access information

Hidden Beach takes place across a number of locations in Hastings and St Leonards-on-Sea. The main festival hub is at The Oval, which is within easy walking distance of Hastings town centre and close to public transport links.

This page shares general guidance to help you plan your journey.

By car

Hidden Beach does not offer on-site parking.

There are several public car parks nearby, including accessible parking for Blue Badge holders, and a drop-off point close to The Oval for those who need to be dropped near the site.

Main routes into Hastings

  • A21 from London and the north

  • A259 along the coast from Eastbourne or Rye

  • A28 from Rye, joining the A259 towards Hastings

Once in Hastings, follow local signs towards the town centre and The Oval.

Parking in Hastings is managed by the local council and private operators. Many car parks and on-street bays use mobile payment apps such as RingGo.

By bus

Hastings is well served by local and regional buses, including Stagecoach services from:

  • Bexhill

  • Rye

  • Battle

  • Eastbourne

Most buses stop in Hastings town centre or St Leonards-on-Sea. From there, The Oval is around a 10–15 minute walk, or a short local bus or taxi journey.

By train

Hastings Station has regular services from London Charing Cross and London Cannon Street (around 1 hour 40 minutes), as well as connections from towns across the South East.

St Leonards Warrior Square is also a convenient station for some festival locations.

From Hastings Station, The Oval is approximately a 15–20 minute walk, or a short taxi or bus journey.

Walking and cycling

The Oval is centrally located and easily reached on foot from Hastings town centre, the seafront and nearby neighbourhoods.

There are bike racks near the site for those arriving by bicycle.

Access

We aim to make the festival as accessible as possible.

  • A drop-off point is available near The Oval for guests with limited mobility.

  • Nearby council car parks include Blue Badge bays.

  • Main festival routes and facilities aim to be wheelchair accessible.

If you have specific access needs or questions, please contact us in advance and we’ll do our best to support you.

Planning your journey

  • We recommend allowing extra time during busy summer weekends.

  • Public transport is often the easiest option from London and nearby towns.

  • Please follow local signage and festival wayfinding when you arrive.
