Pass The Peas
Pass The Peas Pop-Up Kitchen is the flavour hub of Tribute to the Diaspora, serving African, South American and Caribbean cuisine all weekend. Think smoky jerk and peppered suya, bright citrusy salads, feijoada bowls, jollof, cassava fries, sweet plantain and slow-simmered stews that taste like home. We’re running eat-in, grab-and-go, plus a dedicated delivery service across Hastings during festival hours—so whether you’re bouncing between venues or hosting friends, hot plates and share boxes come to you.
This year we’re levelling up: the kitchen is powered by popular Hidden Beach caterers you already rave about, joined by a rotating lineup of London’s finest culinary diaspora experts. Expect signature dishes, chef collaborations and one-night-only specials that celebrate migration, memory and creativity on a plate. Vegan and vegetarian options are headline acts, with halal and gluten-free choices where possible; every item is clearly labelled for allergens, and the team can help you choose the right dish.
Menus evolve through the day—brunchy bites before workshops, hearty bowls at showtime, and late-night snacks when the dancefloor won’t quit. Families are welcome, portions are generous, and group platters make feeding crews simple. Order at the counter, scan to order for pick-up, or choose delivery to venues, homes and pop-ups within Hastings postcode areas. Pre-orders for artists, crews and community groups can be arranged—just speak to the team.
We believe food should travel well and taste better—ours does both. Sauces pack heat without hiding flavour, sides stay crisp, and our spice blends sing. We cook with care, source smartly and keep waste low with recyclable packaging.
Bring a big appetite and a curious palate; we’ll keep the good stuff coming. Pass The Peas is your weekend anchor: good food, good people, no fuss—fuel for three unforgettable days and five buzzing venues.
